Tournament Format

Points format (total of 3 games). Time limit per game is 1 hour. Should time run out before the match ends, the match will end with the end of the defenders bound and points shall be tallied.

1st round                        -           random pairing

2nd round                       -           seeded (similar points vs. similar points)

3rd round                        -           seeded

If there are two top scorers with equal points after the 3rd round, there will be a sudden death playoff between both players. Others are free to jeer or cheer as they like.

Should there be an odd number of players, the bottom player does not play and receives a ‘six-point bye’. No player is to receive more than 1 bye in the tournament. The ‘six-point bye’ will also be awarded should your opponent be absent for a duration of more than 10 minutes after the appointed start of a match unless prior notice has been given and accepted.

Rules version used                     : DBA version 2.2

Exception                                  : All ‘BUA’ shall be treated as ‘bad going’ and will have similar effect as ‘Woods’ for shooting and LOS.

Armies used                              : The army to be used shall be announced before the start of the tournament and must be used for all matches. Changing of options between matches is allowed.

Rules disputes                           :  Should there occur a rules dispute during a match, players should strive for a mutually accepted decision. Failing which, a referee will be called to adjudicate.

Scoring is as follows:

Winner

4 points                                     -  Win

1 point                                      -  per enemy element killed

3 points                                     - killing enemy General

2 points                                     - capturing enemy camp

E.g. If you win by killing 3 elements including the enemy general and capturing the camp, you will receive 4+3+3+2 = 12 points.

Loser

0 points                                     - Loss

1 point                                      - per enemy element killed

3 points                                     - killing enemy General
